The foreign ministers of Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, France, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Egypt, Luxembourg, Norway, Palestine, Portugal, Qatar, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Turkey—alongside the Secretaries-General of the League of Arab States and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation—have strongly condemned the Israeli enemy’s recent decisions expanding Israeli control over the West Bank.

In a joint stance reflecting the widening circle of international rejection of the Israeli entity’s policies, the statement affirmed that Israeli settlements established on occupied Palestinian land, and decisions aimed at reinforcing them, constitute a blatant violation of international law, including relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions and the advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice in 2024.

The statement further considered these steps to fall within a clear trajectory aimed at altering facts on the ground and advancing toward a rejected de facto annexation, thereby undermining efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region.

It also called on the Israeli enemy to immediately reverse these decisions, respect international law, and refrain from taking any measures that would cause permanent changes to the legal and administrative status of the occupied Palestinian territory.

The statement pointed out that these policies come amid an unprecedented acceleration in settlement activity, including approval of the “E1” project and the publication of its tenders, describing them as a direct and deliberate assault on the foundations necessary for the establishment of a Palestinian state and the implementation of the so-called “two-state solution.”

The ministers renewed their rejection of all measures aimed at altering the demographic composition, character, and legal status of the Palestinian territory occupied since 1967, including al-Quds (Jerusalem) , while stressing their opposition to any form of annexation.

In light of the escalation in the West Bank, the statement called on “Israel” to put an end to settlers’ crimes against Palestinians and to hold those responsible for these violations accountable.

The ministers emphasized their commitment to taking concrete steps, in accordance with international law, to confront the expansion of “settlements” and the policies and threats of forced displacement and annexation in the occupied Palestinian territory.

The foreign ministers also stated that “Israel must immediately release the withheld tax revenues owed to the Palestinian Authority.”

They noted that transferring these revenues to the Palestinian Authority, in accordance with the Paris Protocol, is vital to providing essential services to the Palestinian population in Gaza and the West Bank.
