The United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territory, Francesca Albanese, affirmed that many Western governments are not helping to stop the Zionist enemy from continuing its violations against Palestinians.
In media statements on Monday, Albanese called for the necessity of halting the arming of the Zionist enemy entity, warning that otherwise it will continue its violations against Palestinians.
She also stressed the need to stop Zionist acts of violence against Palestinians, noting that such actions have enjoyed impunity for decades, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.
Albanese pointed out that, the accusation of anti-Semitism is used as a major deception, particularly in Europe, to exploit the issue of hatred against Jews. She emphasized that there is no similar case against Israel in and of itself, but rather, the problem lies in the actions carried out by the Zionist enemy.
The UN rapporteur affirmed that Palestinians are going through the most difficult moments in their history, adding that it is saddening to repeatedly allow words of condemnation to be voiced time and again. She reiterated that Zionist violence against Palestinians must be stopped.
Albanese explained that ethnic cleansing means making Palestinian land empty of Palestinians, considering that this represents a long-term objective for those seeking to confine Palestine exclusively to Jews.
She added that the Zionist enemy government, according to statements by some of its ministers, is presenting Palestinians with two options: either to leave Palestine or remain under oppression—an option that Palestinians reject.
Albanese also expressed concern that member states may remain submissive to bullying by Israel and the United States, stressing that countries should develop alternatives to protect multilateralism and to put an end to the colonial approach in dealing with Palestinians.
She expressed regret at repeatedly hearing phrases of condemnation, underscoring the necessity of stopping the Zionist enemy’s use of force against Palestinians.
Since October 7, 2023, the Zionist enemy’s “army,” with American and European support, has carried out a genocide in the Gaza Strip, resulting in more than 243,000 Palestinians killed and wounded, most of them children and women, in addition to more than 11,000 missing persons and hundreds of thousands displaced, along with widespread destruction affecting most areas of the Gaza Strip.
