Joint US-Israeli aggression targeted the Islamic Republic of Iran as the Israeli entity launched an air assault on government centers and facilities in the capital, Tehran.

According to the Fars and IRNA news agencies, several explosions were heard in the city center, with plumes of smoke rising from areas including University Street and the Republic district. Emergency services were seen rushing to the targeted sites.

Iranian media also reported explosions in the provinces of Qom, Lorestan, Kermanshah, Isfahan, Karaj, and Tabriz.

In response, the Iranian armed forces announced they had been placed on high alert and were prepared to carry out retaliatory strikes against the occupied territories.

The spokesperson for Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization declared the country’s airspace closed until further notice, while the Ministry of Health confirmed that ambulances had been dispatched to the affected areas and pledged to announce casualty figures once verified.

An informed source within the Iranian presidency confirmed that President Masoud Pezeshkian was unharmed.

Enemy media outlets reported that the strikes targeted intelligence and government facilities, suggesting American involvement. Channel 12 quoted a security source as saying the operation was a joint Israeli-American endeavor that had been in the planning for months.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Defense Minister characterized the assault as a “preemptive strike” against Iran.
