The Al-Masirah Media Network issued a strong condemnation on Tuesday of renewed aggressive Israeli airstrikes targeting the building of Al-Manar TV and Al-Nour Radio in Lebanon, as well as the headquarters of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB).
In an official statement, the network characterized the strikes as a "dangerous escalation against media institutions" reflecting an attempt to "silence the voice of resistance media and influence the course of confrontation by striking the platforms that transmit events and expose aggressions."
The statement described the assault on Al-Manar, Al-Nour, and Iranian television as evidence of a "clear failure" in confronting the media narrative that conveys the image of events from the field. The network asserted that "resorting to targeting media institutions reflects a state of confusion in the face of the opposing narrative."
Defiance in the Face of Aggression
Al-Masirah emphasized that the "logic of aggression" towards media outlets will not achieve its objectives, but will rather "strengthen the presence of these platforms and entrench their role in revealing facts and following up on developments."
The network reaffirmed its complete solidarity with Al-Manar TV and Al-Nour Radio, affirming that their media message will remain present despite the targeting. It also expressed solidarity with IRIB, describing it as "a platform that expresses the orientations and positions of the Islamic Republic."
The statement stressed the importance of continuing media work at this sensitive stage, calling on workers in the targeted institutions to "continue performing their professional mission, and to continue transmitting events and revealing the repercussions of escalation at various levels."
The Israeli enemy destroyed the headquarters of Al-Manar TV and Al-Nour Radio, hours after its started a brutal wide-scale aggression on entire Lebanon, staging air strikes and other forms of attacks on the country’s south, Beirut’s Dahiyeh (southern suburb) and Bekaa.
