The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced on Saturday that the death toll since the expansion of the Zionist aggression has risen to 294 martyrs and 1,023 injured.
Since last Monday, the “army” of the Zionist enemy entity has been carrying out attacks on the country, coinciding with the war it is waging in cooperation with the United States against Iran since February 28.
A statement issued by the Health Emergency Operations Center, affiliated with the Ministry of Health, said: “The toll of the Zionist aggression since dawn on Monday, March 2, until Saturday afternoon has risen to 294 martyrs and 1,023 wounded.”
In a separate statement, the center reported that a series of airstrikes carried out by the “army” of the Zionist enemy on the town of Nabi Sheet in the Baalbek district resulted, according to a preliminary tally, in the martyrdom of 41 citizens and injuries to dozens of others.
The “army” of the Zionist enemy continues its attacks on various areas of Lebanon. Since dawn on Saturday, the strikes have resulted in the deaths of at least 52 people, including children, according to separate statements from the Ministry of Health and data from the Lebanese National News Agency.
The escalating attacks on Lebanon have also caused the displacement of hundreds of thousands of people, as well as the destruction of residential and religious buildings and infrastructure.
On Monday, the scope of the war expanded regionally to include Lebanon after the Zionist enemy and the United States launched a continuous aggression against Iran on February 28, which resulted in hundreds of martyrs, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
On Monday, Hezbollah attacked a military site in northern occupied Palestine in response to the continued assaults by the Zionist enemy entity on Lebanon, despite a ceasefire agreement in place since November 2024 and the assassination of Khamenei.
On the same day, the Zionist enemy launched a new aggression against Lebanon through airstrikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs and areas in the south and east of the country, resulting in dozens of deaths. A limited ground incursion then began on Tuesday.
