The Insaf Organization for Women and Children’s Rights issued a human rights report on Wednesday titled “When the Sun Disappears,” documenting the abduction and captivity of citizen Shams Abdulmalik Abdulqader Al-Kabsi by mercenaries of the US-Saudi-UAE aggression in Marib governorate in March 2015.

The report details the circumstances of the abduction, detention, and eventual release, based on interviews conducted by the organization with the former captive. It also outlines the legal framework of the crime in accordance with relevant international laws, treaties, and conventions, noting that the incident amounts to war crimes against women.

The Insaf Organization affirmed that deliberate abduction and detention constitute a grave violation of international humanitarian law, adding that the report serves as further evidence documenting the systematic targeting of civilians, particularly women and children, in areas controlled by mercenary forces.

The organization called on the international community and human rights bodies to take immediate action to ensure accountability and justice for the victims.
