Wave 49 of Operation True Promise 4 has been launched, involving missile and drone strikes against several military installations, Iranian state media announced on Saturday.

In detail, the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps' Public Relations Department said the IRGC naval forces launched three waves of attacks at dawn, targeting “American terrorist bases in the region” with “dense and simultaneous missile fire and drones.”

Al-Dhafra

The attacks targeted Al-Dhafra Airbase, asserting that Iranian forces struck Patriot radar systems, the control tower, and air defense depots using “powerful strikes from one-way drones and precision-guided ballistic missiles.”

Sheikh Isa

According to the statement, the IRGC also struck Sheikh Isa Air Base, asserting that early-warning radar systems, aircraft hangars, the central platform, and US aircraft fuel tanks were destroyed in the attack.

Al-Udairi

The statement further reported that Iranian forces targeted Al-Udairi Base in Kuwait, in which equipment depots, helicopter storage facilities, and gathering points of US forces were destroyed.

Separately, the IRGC warned that the Strait of Hormuz is under its “full and precise control,” adding that oil tankers and commercial vessels belonging to “aggressors and their allies” would not be allowed to pass and would be targeted if they attempted to do so.

Iranian media also aired footage showing what it said were IRGC missile and drone launches for wave 49 of Operation True Promise 4.

IRGC, Hezbollah jointly launch Op. True Promise 4 Wave 48

Earlier today, the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) announced the 48th wave of Operation True Promise 4, carried out in coordination with the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon – Hezbollah, targeting US and Israeli positions in al-Jalil, the occupied Golan, and Haifa, in addition to US military bases in the region.

In a statement, the IRGC said the operation involved solid-fuel Kheibar Shekan missiles, liquid-fuel Qadr missiles, and attack drones.

As part of ongoing drone detection and interception operations, Iranian air defense systems reportedly tracked and destroyed 112 combat, reconnaissance, and attack drones. According to the IRGC, these included MQ-9 drones over Firouzabad and Bandar Abbas, as well as another drone intercepted in Tabriz airspace.

Meanwhile, an Iranian missile strike damaged five US Air Force aerial refueling aircraft at a major US military base in Saudi Arabia, according to The Wall Street Journal, citing US officials.

The aircraft were struck while parked on the ground at Prince Sultan Air Base, one of the primary hubs used by US forces in the region. Two US officials told the newspaper that the planes were hit during an Iranian missile attack carried out in recent days, described as part of Tehran’s response to ongoing US-Israeli actions against Iran.

According to one official, the aircraft were damaged but not destroyed, and repairs are currently underway.

However, Israeli media reported that the aircraft may be destroyed, not just damaged
