Violations of the fragile ceasefire in the Gaza Strip by Zionist forces continue, with the number of casualties since the ceasefire was declared in October 2025 rising to 687 dead and 1,845 injured, in addition to 756 bodies recovered.

Today, the Zionist enemy's operations persisted in several areas east of Gaza, including artillery shelling, gunfire, the demolition of homes near the so-called "Yellow Line," and attacks on shelters and displaced persons’ tents.

Local sources reported heavy fire from Zionist enemy helicopters east of the Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza City, as well as intensified attacks by helicopters and tanks east of Khan Younis in the southern Strip.

These developments occur despite the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and the Zionist enemy's entity, which came into effect on October 11, 2025, with repeated violations recorded since then.

In efforts to break the blockade, Rashad Al-Baz, a member of the Global Campaign to Break the Siege on Gaza, confirmed that preparations for launching the "Flotilla of Steadfastness" are proceeding according to plan, noting that its departure is expected at the beginning of May, despite the challenges it faces.

The Gaza Ministry of Health reported the arrival of nine martyrs, including one who succumbed to injuries, along with 30 injuries over recent days. Some victims remain trapped under rubble or in the streets due to the inability of ambulance and civil defense teams to reach them.

The ministry stated that the total number of casualties since the October 11 ceasefire stands at 687 dead and 1,845 injured, with 756 bodies recovered. The cumulative toll since the start of the genocide war on October 7, 2023, reached 72,263 dead and 171,944 injured.

The Gaza General Petroleum and Gas Authority announced the entry of five trucks loaded with cooking gas into the Strip, to be distributed to citizens according to a specific mechanism. The distribution will follow the unified 21/03 registry across all Gaza governorates, benefiting approximately 13,151 people, ensuring organized distribution and access for those in need.

Meanwhile, Zionist forces continue tightening the siege on Gaza, with limited operations at the Rafah crossing, strictly controlling the entry of humanitarian aid and the exit of patients and the wounded, amid a widespread collapse of the health system.

Rashad Al-Baz confirmed that preparations for the “Flotilla of Steadfastness” continue as planned, with arrangements ongoing for a launch at the beginning of May. He emphasized that the initiative’s organizers are completing necessary measures to ensure its execution on schedule, despite recent challenges.
