Following the US-Israeli attack on the B1 Bridge in Karaj and the Mahshahr petrochemical facilities, Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) announced its retaliation, targeting enemy military and economic assets, as part of Wave 96 of Operation True Promise 4.
Wave 96, dedicated to all the little girls martyred in the US-Israeli aggression, was carried out under the call "Ya Ruqayya (peace be upon her),” and saw joint operations by the IRGC Navy and Aerospace forces.
Five military-economic targets struck
The first phase of the response reportedly targeted Israeli sites and regional US economic assets overnight, including:
1. A heavy strike on the fuel refinery supplying Israeli fighter jets in Haifa, destroying major sections of the facility.
2. An attack on US gas facilities operated by ExxonMobil and Chevron in Habshan, UAE.
3. A missile strike on a US petrochemical plant producing fuel for the US armed forces and Israeli military products in Al Ruwais, UAE, triggering widespread fires.
4. A drone strike on the US petrochemical facility in Sitra, Bahrain, resulting in extensive fires and destruction of critical infrastructure producing petroleum derivatives for the US military.
5. A strike on US petrochemical facilities in Shuaiba, Kuwait, causing massive fires and a full shutdown of a complex cooperating with US forces.
Attacks on civilians will be met with more foreceful responses
The IRGC statement emphasized that the US and "Israel", which have been defeated on the security, naval, and ground fronts, while their air force is simultaneously being humiliated amid the constant losses of aircraft and drones, have resorted to attacking civilians to obscure their failures.
Therefore, and as a direct result of its strategy of aggression against civilians, "the enemies have laid the groundwork for fires across Haifa, Habshan, Al Ruwais, Sitra, and Shuaiba."
“We have consistently declared that any aggression against civilian targets will be met with extensive responses against enemy interests anywhere in the region,” the statement read.
The IRGC warned that any repeat attacks on civilian facilities will trigger a second stage of the operation, which will be far more forceful, doubling the losses for the aggressors. In addition to retaliatory measures, the IRGC vowed to recover damages caused by the aggressors, stating that American taxpayers would ultimately bear the cost of these illegal attacks.
“We reiterate: if you commit further acts of aggression against civilian facilities, our responses will be even more crushing,” the statement concluded.
