The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem, affirmed that the Israeli enemy has been unable to achieve success on the battlefield in confronting the brave fighters of the resistance.
He stated that the resistance will continue until the very last breath, emphasizing that the determination of young men to go to the battlefield and remain there represents a beacon of hope and dignity. He added that the sacrifices being made only strengthen the commitment to liberate the homeland and preserve national honor. He stressed that a return to the previous situation is unacceptable, calling on officials to stop gratuitous concessions.
His Eminence said that the enemy resorted to bloody criminal acts on Wednesday, but the Lebanese people are far stronger and more resilient than the enemy believes. He also noted that the displaced have set an example of pride and high morale.
Full Message from Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem to the Resilient and Sacrificing Lebanese People:
“I extend my condolences to our patient and steadfast people across all parts of Lebanon for the martyrdom of the righteous martyrs—men, women, children, and fighters. I ask Allah Almighty to grant them His greatest mercy for the pure blood they have offered for our people and our homeland, which we see as a contributing factor to dignity and victory in confronting the oppressive and tyrannical Israeli–American enemy. I also pray for the swift recovery of the wounded, and for patience, determination, and success for their families.
The Israeli enemy has failed on the battlefield in confronting the brave fighters of the resistance. It has been unable to carry out the ground invasion it repeatedly announced. Its soldiers and officers have fallen into ambushes set by the fighters, and its military vehicles have been destroyed at the crossroads of towns and villages. The enemy has repeatedly changed its objectives—at times seeking to reach the Litani River, at other times attempting limited advances, or relying on firepower and destruction—but it has failed throughout more than forty days of aggression to stop rockets, shells, and drones from reaching its settlements, both near and far, extending to Haifa and beyond.
The enemy was surprised by the resistance’s tactics, the flexibility of the fighters’ movements, their defensive capabilities, and their extraordinary courage. It has become clear that mobilizing one hundred thousand Israeli soldiers will not enable occupation; rather, they will become casualties, while those who remain on the battlefield live in fear and uncertainty, not knowing when they will be killed, captured, or ordered to withdraw due to the inability to establish stability on the land of southern Lebanon.
For forty days, the enemy has accumulated failure. Its settlements are filled with fear and suffering, its plans are confused, and its officials issue daily threats that are loud in tone but weak in effect. On Wednesday, the enemy resorted to bloody attacks across Beirut, the southern suburbs, southern Lebanon, the Bekaa, and Mount Lebanon, targeting civilians in densely populated neighborhoods, villages, and towns in an attempt to conceal its failure on the battlefield.
However, the Lebanese people are far stronger and more resilient than the enemy assumes. The displaced have demonstrated pride and high morale, while those who have sheltered them have shown the highest examples of citizenship and humanity. Meanwhile, fighters on the frontlines remain an unbreakable barrier that has shattered the ambitions and expectations of the Israeli forces.
The resistance will continue until the last breath. The determination of young men to join the battlefield and remain there is a sign of hope and dignity. The sacrifices being made only deepen the commitment to liberate the homeland and preserve dignity. We will not accept a return to the previous situation, and we call on officials to stop gratuitous concessions. Together—as a state, army, people, and resistance—we will protect our country, restore its sovereignty, and expel the occupier.
Their threats and weapons will not intimidate us. We are the rightful owners of the land. We possess faith, willpower, and the capability to prevent them from achieving their objectives. As Allah Almighty has said: ‘Allah has decreed: I and My messengers shall prevail. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.’”
