Zionist Channel 12 reported that Iranian officials were “honest in saying that the ceasefire in Lebanon is linked to the Iranian–American negotiations.”
The channel added that in the entity, "attempts are being made to avoid this bitter truth by claiming that the ceasefire is instead connected to an attempted contact between"Israeli Prime Minister" Benjamin Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun."
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei had previously stated that the ceasefire in Lebanon “was part of a ceasefire understanding between the Islamic Republic of Iran and America.”
Baghaei added that Iran had emphasized from the outset the necessity of establishing a synchronized ceasefire across the entire region, including Lebanon.
The ceasefire agreement in Lebanon entered into force at midnight on Thursday–Friday, April 17, and is described as a 10-day truce.
At the time of its announcement, Zionist enemy media acknowledged Iran’s ability to impose its conditions on the American President Donald Trump and Netanyahu.
In this context, the Zionist newspaper "Haaretz" reported that the sequence of events preceding the talks held in Pakistan between Iran and America last Saturday led to what it described as a “twisting of Israel’s arm.”
