Zionist occupation forces demolished an agricultural room in the town of Za’tara, east of Beit-lehem in the southern occupied West Bank, on Thursday morning, as part of ongoing demolition operations targeting agricultural and water facilities in the area.
Mohammad Dhuwaib, an engineer with the Za’tara Municipality, said that Zionist forces stormed the “Wadi al-Ta‘amira” area east of the town and completely sealed it off during the demolition operation before destroying an agricultural structure belonging to Palestinian resident Adel Ayed al-Bajali.
Dhuwaib explained that the demolition was carried out amid a heavy military presence, with residents prevented from approaching the site during the operation, creating an atmosphere of tension in the area amid continued Israeli measures targeting Palestinian agricultural properties.
In a related development, Zionist military bulldozers demolished a concrete water tank in the “Al-Mashamis” area east of the town. The tank belonged to resident Malik Surour and served as a water source used for irrigating agricultural lands in the area.
These developments come as part of a series of escalating field measures carried out by Zionist enemy forces across towns and villages in the occupied West Bank, including repeated military raids, demolitions of homes and agricultural facilities, and the issuance of demolition notices for commercial and industrial buildings.
These policies are part of ongoing pressure on residents and attempts to restrict their sources of livelihood, amid growing warnings over the impact of such actions on agricultural and economic life in rural areas contributing to further indirect forced displacement of the population.
