A source familiar with the matter told Mizan News Agency that reports circulated by certain Gulf media outlets concerning the mechanism governing ship movements through the Strait of Hormuz are inaccurate.
The agency stated that the details and regulations mentioned by those media outlets regarding the passage of Iranian vessels through the strait are incorrect.
Mizan also explained that Iran recently designed a new system aimed at asserting sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz, and that vessels wishing to transit the waterway have been informed of the rules and regulations governing passage.
In the same context, the agency stressed that no official source has yet publicly announced the details of the new mechanism, noting that ships seeking to pass through the strait must comply with the new system and obtain transit authorization.
Earlier, Iran officially launched a new mechanism for managing maritime navigation through the Strait of Hormuz and designated a safe transit route. This prompted the American President the criminal Trump to temporarily suspend what he referred to as “Project Freedom” related to ship movement through the Strait of Hormuz, in order to “test the possibility of reaching and later signing an agreement with Iran,” while adding, “I will keep the blockade fully in effect.”
According to Press TV, under the new system, vessels intending to transit the strait will receive an email from the official address “info@PGSA.ir" containing the relevant rules and regulations governing passage.
The report added that ships will be required to adjust their operations in accordance with this framework and obtain a transit permit before crossing the Strait of Hormuz, which is considered one of the world’s most strategically important waterways for global oil shipments.
