Zionist enemy forces intensified their attacks on medical centers and emergency response teams in towns and villages across southern Lebanon on Friday, in a significant escalation of hostilities.

According to field reports, two paramedics from the Islamic Risala Scout Association’s emergency service were killed and two others injured following three Zionist enemy airstrikes on the town of Deir Qanoun al-Nahr.

In a separate incident, one paramedic was killed and four others wounded after Zionist enemy warplanes carried out two airstrikes targeting a motorcycle and ambulance crews in the town of Burj Rahhal.

Earlier at dawn, four people were killed and two others injured in an airstrike that struck a medical point affiliated with the “Islamic Health Authority” in the town of Hanouiyeh, as confirmed by National News Agency.

According to figures released by the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health, the number of paramedics and civil defense personnel killed since the beginning of the aggression has risen to 122 as of May 21. This figure does not include six additional fatalities reported today—four in Hanouiyeh and two in Deir Qanoun al-Nahr.

In a statement issued on Friday, the ministry said: “Less than two days have passed since Lebanon secured a majority-backed resolution from the World Health Assembly to protect and neutralize healthcare workers in the country, yet the Israeli enemy continues its persistent defiance of international decisions, its evasion of obligations, and its disregard for legitimacy.”

The statement added that enemy forces have continued violations “in blatant disregard of the World Health Organization’s resolution and all provisions of international humanitarian law,” targeting unarmed paramedics equipped only with emergency medical tools while carrying out their humanitarian rescue missions.

Zionist enemy strikes have continued to hit multiple areas in southern Lebanon in recent hours, including the city of Nabatieh and the towns of Majdal, Kfartabnit, and the outskirts of Meifdoun.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah has continued its operations against Zionist enemy targets in southern Lebanon and northern occupied Palestine in defense of the country and in response to Zionist enemy violations of the ceasefire agreement since April 17.

The ongoing Zionist enemy strikes have caused both human and material losses, amid Zionist acknowledgment of the lack of an effective solution to counter the explosive-laden drones used by the resistance.
