Iran’s Fars News Agency has stated that circulating reports claiming that the Zionist entity would be excluded from obligations under the proposed Iranian nuclear agreement are inaccurate, rejecting assertions made by the American newspaper The New York Times on the matter.
The agency explained that a review of the final draft of the potential agreement shows that the claim has no factual basis. According to the explicit wording of the agreement, if concluded, the United States and its allies would commit to refraining from attacking Iran or its allies in any form.
In return, Fars stated that Iran and its allies would also commit to refraining from launching any preemptive military attack against the United States and its allies.
The Iranian agency stressed in its report that the American media outlet’s claim of the entity's exclusion from any obligations toward Iran directly contradicts the clear provisions of the final agreement, describing the allegation as false.
Fars had previously denied statements by Trump regarding the complete reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, stating that “based on the latest exchanged draft, if a potential agreement is reached, the Strait of Hormuz will remain under Iranian administration.”
