The Israeli Ministry of Health reported the registration of five new injuries, bringing the total number of casualties since the start of the US-Israeli war on Iran up to 8,831 as of Sunday.

The ministry stated that the number of injuries resulting specifically from the conflict with Lebanon has reached 930 since 8 April, following a ceasefire with Iran. It added that since the announcement of a ceasefire in Lebanon on 17 April, a total of 515 injured individuals have been admitted to hospitals.

These figures reflect a steady daily increase in reported casualties amid Hezbollah's continued retaliation against Israeli violations of the ceasefire and occupation of Lebanese territories.

Hezbollah has intensified its attacks against Israeli occupation forces in southern Lebanon and deployed FPV drones to execute precision strikes against Israeli troops, military positions, vehicles, and weapons systems. The Resistance's tactics have proven difficult for Israeli occupation forces to counter, resulting in further casualties among military personnel.

Severe indicents in southern Lebanon

Severe security and operational incidents unfolded in southern Lebanon on Sunday, with “all families informed of the casualties,” Israeli media reported, in reference to mounting losses within Israeli ranks.

Israeli outlets also reported that “more than 30 explosive drones” were launched by Hezbollah on Sunday toward Israeli forces and positions, describing the day as “the most difficult in Lebanon since the ceasefire.”

In the same context, Israeli Channel 12 said Israeli soldiers had for weeks described their deployment conditions in Lebanon as resembling “ducks in a shooting range,” pointing to heightened battlefield exposure and limited protection against sustained aerial threats.

The channel added that the wave of explosive drone attacks targeting troops and northern positions, coupled with the heavy toll reflected in the figures cleared for publication, had exposed the scale of the operational and tactical challenges confronting the Israeli military.
