Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Abdulwahid Abu Ras has warned the Israeli enemy entity against continuing its crimes against Lebanon, most recently the targeting of a Lebanese Army military vehicle in the Nabatieh region of southern Lebanon, which left two officers and a soldier dead.
In remarks to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Abu Ras addressed Nawaf Salam, saying: "Are you concerned by the targeting of the Lebanese Army? Is this your war? And are you concerned by a war in which the Lebanese Army itself is being targeted?"
He added: "Has the time come for those residing in Baabda Palace to support their army, their resistance, and their people in confronting their true enemy—the criminal Zionist entity?"
Abu Ras described the attack as further evidence that the Zionist enemy entity is targeting all segments of the Lebanese people, stressing that making concessions only emboldens it to commit further crimes and acts of aggression.
He affirmed that the path of surrender under the guise of direct negotiations will neither provide protection nor guarantee sovereignty, security, and stability, emphasizing that there can be no stability in Lebanon as long as aggression and occupation by the Zionist enemy continue.
The Deputy Foreign Minister reiterated Yemen’s support for the Lebanese people and their valiant resistance in confronting the ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanon and its brotherly people.
