Hezbollah has denied the validity of a report broadcast by CNN that featured an interview with an individual presented as a fighter within the group, confirming that the mentioned individual does not belong to Hezbollah "in any way, shape, or form."

The Media Relations office of Hezbollah said in a statement on Thursday that the group did not coordinate, facilitate, or arrange any interview of this nature with the network or with any other media outlet.

The statement stressed the necessity for local, Arab, and international media institutions to adhere to professional standards and responsibility when preparing and publishing media material. It emphasized that Hezbollah's Media Relations office is the sole entity authorized to coordinate any meetings or communication with the media.

The group affirmed its permanent readiness to cooperate with various media institutions in a manner that serves professional and responsible media work, and preserves the accuracy and credibility of information.

Last Saturday, CNN published a report by its correspondent Isobel Yeung, in which she stated that, in a rare interview from inside Lebanon, she met with an active Hezbollah fighter, "hearing his first-hand account of the ongoing confrontation with Israel."
