A senior Zionist official admitted to i24 on Monday that if the Israeli entity had known that "the war would end in this way, from a political perspective, it certainly would not have been worth fighting."

Meanwhile, the Zionist website "Yedioth Ahronoth" revealed that the recent attack on the Southern Suburb of Beirut (Dahiyeh) was executed under orders from the head of the Zionist entity's goverment, the war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu, and the Minister of War, criminal Israel Katz. This order was carried out despite warnings from leaders within the enemy "army" regarding a potential Iranian response using ballistic missiles against the occupying entity.

According to informed sources, a number of senior officials suggested postponing the attack for a day or two. They hoped that during this window, a U.S.-Iranian agreement might materialize, which would either render the execution of the attack impossible or "allow Katz and Netanyahu to calm down."

The sources indicated that the objections raised by senior officials in the Zionist enemy's "army" were not related to the target itself or immediate operational concerns. Instead, their concerns centered on the timing, as the region was anticipating the signing of a comprehensive U.S.-Iranian agreement.

Furthermore, the sources noted that certain assessments within the "army" warned that the attack would be "an attempt to plant a political-military landmine in the path of the agreement" and would trigger a missile response, potentially opening the door to a much larger escalation.

The newspaper reported that Netanyahu has lost his ability to influence U.S. policy and is incapable of thwarting an agreement that the Zionist leadership views as "dangerous."

In a related context, a source familiar with the discussions stated that Netanyahu was "afraid of criticism" and ordered that the propaganda discourse claim a separation between Iran and Lebanon, focusing strictly on "operations in Lebanon." Conversely, another source stated that the true objective of the operation was to "launch an attack on the agreement"—meaning an attempt to stir up additional tension.

According to a security source, the outcomes of the operation produced the exact opposite of what Netanyahu desired. The source stated that the latter believed he could push the negotiation track with Iran toward escalation and disruption by launching the attack on the Southern Suburb; however, what unfolded on the ground went completely against his calculations.

The source added that the agreement enjoys significant support from U.S. President, the criminal Donald Trump, who understands the risks associated with escalation and wishes to sign it immediately, which could push toward calming the situation with Iran. The source pointed out that Netanyahu appeared to be in an embarrassing position, as he has been trying for three weeks to reshape the rules of the game with Hezbollah and demonstrate that he "does not submit to Trump."

Nevertheless, according to the newspaper, "everything concluded with Trump imposing his will and inflicting further humiliation upon Netanyahu."
