The Palestinian factions and forces assembled in Cairo submitted their official response last Saturday to mediators regarding the roadmap presented by the President of the Peace Board, Nickolay Mladenov.
In a statement released on Monday, the assembled Palestinian factions and forces affirmed that this step is part of a serious effort to halt the war of genocide and put an end to the tragic humanitarian suffering endured by our people. They emphasized the necessity of obligating the occupation to adhere fully and unconditionally to the terms of the ceasefire agreement, in accordance with what was stated in their response.
The factional forces demanded that the mediators and guarantors ensure the Zionist enemy entity's commitment to implementing all provisions of the first phase without selectivity or procrastination. This includes a comprehensive and total cessation of all military operations in the Strip, and the immediate implementation of the humanitarian protocol to guarantee the flow of aid. They also demanded the permanent and sustainable opening of all crossings to end the blockade, the withdrawal of occupation forces from the Strip, the entry and empowerment of the administrative committee to carry out its duties in serving our people, and the immediate launch of the reconstruction plan.
Furthermore, the factional forces announced that they will remain in a state of continuous session to monitor field and political developments, and to intensify their efforts to ensure a response to the legitimate demands that guarantee lifting the suffering of our people in the Strip.
The factions expressed their sincere appreciation and deep gratitude for the tireless and dedicated efforts exerted by the mediators—represented by Egypt, Qatar, and Türkiye—in following up on the response and exchanging ideas and solutions with the factions, leading to their ongoing endeavors to stop the war and end the suffering of our people.
