The Iranian Fars News Agency reported on Monday that the first maritime vessel has begun moving through the Strait of Hormuz following the newly announced U.S.-Iran agreement, citing maritime tracking data.
According to Fars, the Malta-flagged oil tanker "Jacksonville," which is laden with liquefied natural gas (LNG), is the first registered vessel to transit the Strait of Hormuz since the official declaration of the agreement between the United States and Iran.
This development follows the joint announcement of a U.S.-Iran agreement aimed at ending the war in the region across all operational fronts. The breakthrough has drawn widespread praise for regional mediation efforts, alongside repeated assertions regarding the vital importance of stabilizing the region.
Regarding the specific clauses pertaining to the "reopening of the Strait of Hormuz" and the "termination of the naval blockade," Iran maintains that the strategic strait will be reactivated and operated "under joint arrangements coordinated between Tehran and the Sultanate of Oman."
Concurrently, U.S. President, criminal Donald Trump announced the "completion of the agreement with Iran," extending his congratulations to all participating parties involved in the intensive negotiations that led to the understanding between both sides.
In a post published on his Truth Social platform, Trump stated that he has officially issued an authorization to lift the U.S. naval blockade on Iran immediately.
