Iran's "Khatam al-Anbiya" Central Headquarters announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz to all maritime ship traffic, due to the American-Zionist enemy's failure to comply with the memorandum of understanding.
In a statement issued today, Saturday, the Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters confirmed that the Strait of Hormuz will be closed to shipping traffic. The headquarters attributed this decision to the United States' clear breach of promises and its failure to commit to implementing the first clause of the agreement to end the war.
The statement further noted that the step comes in response to the continuous and ongoing ceasefire violations by the Zionist entity in southern Lebanon, which have been accompanied by brutal killings and the displacement of hundreds of thousands of residents from this oppressed region, as well as the non-withdrawal of the occupying Zionist forces from southern Lebanese lands.
The headquarters pointed out that this move marks the first phase of the response to the enemy's breach of promises. It warned that if the attacks continue, subsequent steps will be planned and taken to compel the enemy to implement its obligations.
