Hezbollah has issued an official statement addressing the direct negotiation sessions currently being conducted by the Lebanese state, strongly criticizing the framework and objectives of these talks.

In the statement, Hezbollah declared: "It has become clear and confirmed that the rounds of direct negotiations, to which the Lebanese authority’s delegation was led in Washington, are meant for it to nod its head and rubber-stamp the dictates written by the American administration. These dictates confiscate Lebanon's sovereignty and shift its political position to the side of those reconciling with the Zionist enemy and its illegitimate entity."

The group added that "no good whatsoever is expected to come from these reconciliatory negotiations, because their starting point is wrong and suspicious, and their goal is submission and surrender."

Hezbollah further emphasized its stance, stating: "We in Hezbollah condemn once again the approach of direct negotiation with the Zionist enemy, its rounds, and whatever results from them. We also condemn its disruptive function, which acts as an obstacle against confronting the enemy's project, the efforts of the resistance field, and the great sacrifices of our great people—sacrifices that the authority could instead leverage by using these cards of strength to pressure for a full and unconditional withdrawal from our Lebanese land."

Concluding the statement, the group noted: "We consider that continuing to attend these direct negotiation sessions is an execution of the 'order of the day' issued by the American administration to the Lebanese authority. The authority is responding to this individually, in isolation, and in violation of the National Pact, the constitution, and the laws. By doing so, it responds to what America and Israel are working toward, which increases the dangers to Lebanon, its stability, independence, and sovereignty."
