Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized that the government's efforts are focused on solving the country's problems in a manner that preserves pride and dignity while ensuring peace and stability.
Speaking during a commemoration ceremony for the ninth night of Muharram in Tehran, Pezeshkian stated that Islamic countries are witnessing an increasing level of unity. He noted that during his visit to Pakistan, he felt a strong desire among both the people and officials there to support Iran and strengthen cooperation with its people, adding that Iraq, Lebanon, and other countries are also ready to cooperate.
He stressed that his country is working to strengthen unity and cohesion with neighboring nations, asserting that no official can accept the existence of poverty, unemployment, or hunger in their country and then sleep soundly.
Pezeshkian added that government work must focus on solving people's problems, stating that merely sufficing with religious appearances without addressing livelihood issues does not achieve true goals, pointing out that Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) would not accept that.
He affirmed that power and capabilities are available, and if efforts are unified and directed along a single path, no obstacle or power can prevent the achievement of goals.
Furthermore, he explained that the government seeks to avoid embarrassing the families of martyrs and the leadership, and aims to maintain the unity and cohesion of society. He concluded by reiterating that Iran is making every effort to solve its problems with pride and dignity within an atmosphere of reconciliation and peace.
