Israeli enemy shelling renewed on the village of Abdeen in the western countryside of Daraa, southern Syria. Enemy helicopters targeted the village with heavy machine guns, coinciding with violent artillery shelling. This escalation followed the outbreak of armed clashes as local residents confronted a new incursion and push carried out by enemy forces, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

On Sunday evening, enemy forces had targeted the town and its surroundings with artillery and gunfire, triggering a mass displacement of residents toward neighboring villages. This occurred at a time when enemy vehicles witnessed a withdrawal from the village after having previously pushed into it.

In the face of this ongoing incursion and aggression, SANA's correspondent in Daraa confirmed that civilians from the village of Abdeen closed off the roads leading into it with stones to prevent enemy forces from storming inside. This popular confrontation comes after enemy forces opened fire to disperse children who attempted to drive out an Israeli patrol that had encroached into their village. No official reports regarding casualties or comments from Syrian authorities have been issued as of yet.

The escalation coincided with the enemy "army" intensively launching flare bombs into the skies of the Yarmouk Basin region, amid intense flights by aviation over the countrysides of Quneitra and Daraa.

Earlier on Sunday, the enemy "army" had set up military tents in the "Tal al-Mughr" area west of Abdeen village. This followed the movement of a force consisting of four troop carriers from the "Al-Jazeera" barracks toward the area to resume ongoing ground incursion operations, targeting farmers near the hill with gunfire and shells.

In a related context, the Syrian "Al-Ikhbaria" channel reported that enemy forces established a military checkpoint in the village of Abdeen and proceeded to search residents. They also set up another checkpoint near the Jamla company in the western countryside of Daraa—marking the second checkpoint in the town since yesterday—coinciding with the incursion of an enemy patrol into the village of Jamla in the Yarmouk Basin area.

On the other hand, the Zionist Channel 14 reported that a shooting incident targeted "Israeli" forces stationed in the southern Golan Heights inside Syrian territory, noting that the perpetrator of the attack managed to withdraw from the site.

These continuous ground and aerial assaults and incursions in southern Syria come in the context of the Israeli enemy's ongoing violation of the 1974 Disengagement of Forces Agreement. This includes direct aggression against citizens through raids, arrests targeting shepherds and children, bulldozing of lands, and the shelling of homes, residential, and military installations—following the enemy's unilateral declaration of the collapse of the separation of forces agreement and its illegal control over the buffer zone.
