The director of the Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of al-Khalil stated that the authorities of the Zionist enemy entity are continuing to ban the call to prayer (Adhan) at the Ibrahimi Mosque for the ninth consecutive day. This step coincides with ongoing construction work inside the mosque and the tightening of security measures imposed on it.

In statements to Al Jazeera, the director of the mosque explained that the enemy continues to carry out construction work inside the Ibrahimi Mosque with the aim of altering its historical and Islamic features. He pointed out that these works are still ongoing amid strict restrictions imposed on the mosque's employees.

He added that the authorities of the usurping entity did not allow the muezzin to reach the call to prayer room, under the pretext of completing roofing work on the mosque's courtyard, which led to the continuation of the ban on raising the call to prayer for the ninth consecutive day.

He further noted that the Zionist enemy tightened the security cordon imposed on the Ibrahimi Mosque, and removed both him and the chief custodian from the site to prevent them from documenting the ongoing violations inside the mosque.

He emphasized that these measures come in conjunction with the continuation of the restrictions imposed on the Ibrahimi Mosque, amid escalating violations targeting it.
