The Hezbollah delegation participating in the funeral procession of the international leader, the martyr Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, affirmed to the Speaker of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly (Shura Council), Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, that the war in Lebanon "stopped through Iran's intervention and by forcing America and Israel to implement the conditions of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding."

The Hezbollah delegation told Qalibaf: "By the blessing of the Iranian leadership and the loyalty of our brothers in Lebanon, Lebanon has become the first country to force the Zionist entity to retreat."

In turn, Qalibaf emphasized to the Hezbollah delegation that "there are fundamental principles in the Islamabad Accord," noting that "the allies of the Islamic Republic in the resistance front and Lebanon are considered among the most important of them."

He added: "We maintained fundamental principles in the negotiations, and one of these principles is the issue of the resistance front and Lebanon," explaining that "Iran fundamentally insisted, prior to signing the accord, on including the principle of halting the war against Iran's allies in the resistance front."

Furthermore, Qalibaf stressed that "Hezbollah's struggle in the recent war proved to the world the close interconnectedness between the resistance factions and Iran."

Earlier, the Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council stated that his country "confirmed to the American side that the territorial integrity of the region's countries and ending the war against Iran's allies must be part of the accord," explaining that it is "currently under implementation, and its application is difficult but possible."

This comes as official, religious, institutional, and leadership figures and delegations from various parts of the world, including Hezbollah and resistance movements, attended to participate in the mourning and funeral ceremonies, alongside millions in public crowds.
