The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned in the strongest possible terms the aggressive attacks launched by the U.S. military on Iranian territory at dawn today, offering blessings and condolences for the citizens who rose as martyrs over the past 48 hours.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry confirmed that the U.S. attacks, which targeted southern coastal provinces as well as two bridges in the eastern provinces, constitute a blatant war crime.
The ministry pointed out that "the U.S. attacks are a flagrant violation of Articles 1 and 5 of the Memorandum of Understanding on Ending the War," as well as a "clear violation of Article 2 and Paragraph 4 of the United Nations Charter."
Furthermore, the Foreign Ministry affirmed the Islamic Republic's determination to defend its national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and to punish the aggressors. It also emphasized the resolute determination of the zealous Iranian people to defend the integrity of their territory, sovereignty, and national security.
The ministry expressed its "disgust at the ridiculous fabrications of U.S. President Donald Trump and other U.S. officials against the Iranian people," adding: "We will not allow the breach of covenants practiced by the U.S. ruling body to undermine Iran's national rights and interests."
It further noted that "America has resorted to obscenity of speech, the fabrication of lies, and military aggression to compensate for its inability to comprehend the greatness and patriotism of the Iranians."
In a related development on Thursday, the Iranian military announced that it had carried out a series of concentrated and intensive military strikes using drones and suicide drones. These strikes directly targeted vital facilities, defense systems, and strategic sites belonging to the U.S. military in Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain, in response to the U.S. aggression.
Additionally, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced at dawn on Thursday that it had targeted infrastructure and vital facilities across four U.S. bases located in Kuwait and Bahrain.
