Taher al-Nounou, the media advisor to the head of the Hamas movement, confirmed on Wednesday that a leadership delegation from the movement, led by Khalil al-Hayya, has arrived in Egypt. The visit aims to resume negotiations and meet with mediators to solidify the current "ceasefire" and reach an agreement on transitioning to the second phase of the peace plan.

Al-Nounou explained that Hamas is emphasizing the critical need to increase humanitarian aid entering the Gaza Strip and to complete the full implementation of the first phase of the agreement. Additionally, the movement is pushing to accelerate the deployment of the mutually agreed-upon National Committee for the Administration of Gaza, particularly following the resignation of the Gaza Strip's governing emergency committee two days ago.

The media advisor noted that all national and governmental preparations have been fully completed within Gaza to execute the transition and facilitate the formal handover processes.

The negotiating delegation's return to Cairo comes less than two days after departing the Egyptian capital, following several days of extensive talks last week. The rapid return highlights a significant intensification of negotiating sessions during the current round.
