The Speaker of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament), Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, affirmed that the Islamic Republic has never been a proponent of war, while emphasizing at the same time that any conflict or confrontation will never end with Iran's surrender, and that options for calm do not mean abandoning deterrent readiness.

During his meeting with the Speaker of the Indonesian People's Representative Council, Ahmad Muzani, Qalibaf explained that the United States, the Zionist entity, and NATO falsely imagined before the recent war that they could force Iran to surrender within a few days. He noted that they "quickly realized they would not achieve their goals, and the entire world saw how they failed before the will of Iran."

In disclosing the trajectory of the political talks, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament pointed to the nature of the engagement with the U.S. administration, stating: "I made it clear to the U.S. Vice President during the negotiations that we do not trust you at all."

Qalibaf stressed that Tehran has never ceased preparing and getting ready to defend its sovereignty and territories, asserting decisively: "At any moment the Americans betray the understanding, we are prepared for comprehensive defense."

He concluded by emphasizing that ending the war represents a top priority for all countries of the world, but everyone must know and understand well that this conflict will never end with Iran's surrender.

For his part, the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Mohammad Baqer Zolqadr, affirmed that the military attacks and aggressions targeting the infrastructure of the Islamic Republic of Iran will not go unpunished, stressing that they "will be met with inevitable revenge" by the armed forces.
