The Secretary-General of the Iraqi Al-Nujaba Movement, Sheikh Akram Al-Kaabi, has asserted that the icons of the resistance in Iraq and the region—the leaders of victory, the martyred Commander of the Quds Force, Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, and the Deputy Chairman of the Popular Mobilization Forces, Haj Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis—"represent a source of pride." He stressed that "American attempts to control Iraq's wealth" will not achieve their objectives.
Sheikh Al-Kaabi's stance came in a statement issued today, Wednesday, in response to the conversation that took place yesterday, Tuesday, at the White House between the criminal U.S. President Donald Trump and Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi, during which the American president boasted about the assassination of the martyr Al-Muhandis alongside the Quds Force Commander, Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani.
The Secretary-General of Al-Nujaba stated that "the Islamic Resistance will remain on high alert against all projects targeting Iraq," emphasizing that it "will work to expel U.S. forces from the land and skies, and to thwart plots aimed at subjugating the country."
He added that Iraq will not accept "the looting of its oil and wealth, whether through direct operations or under the guise of investments," calling for a confrontation against "foreign corruption."
Regarding the electricity crisis in Iraq, Sheikh Al-Kaabi urged the Iraqi government to "remove American companies operating in the electricity sector and replace them with reliable and reputable firms," considering this step to be "the beginning of confronting corruption linked to foreign corporations."
He pointed out that the electricity problem has persisted for years, calling for measures to address its root causes and develop the energy sector in the country.
Below is the full text of Sheikh Al-Kaabi's statement:
"The icons of Iraq and the resistance—Al-Muhandis, Soleimani, and others—honor the rotten head of the foolish, child-killer Trump and his entire corrupt, evil administration. These corrupt thieves will not live long under the illusion of stealing Iraq's oil and bounties, whether through direct theft, as they are doing now and have done in the past, or under the cover of suspicious investments. Furthermore, they will not be able to subjugate Iraq in any way whatsoever. The Islamic Resistance will remain on high alert and will expel their forces from the land and skies, despite them, and will thwart all their desires and conspiracies.
Furthermore, in order to resolve the critical issue of the people represented by the electricity crisis—which has remained a permanent problem from the era of the deceased Saddam until today—all specialists and technicians have unanimously diagnosed it, proving that all electricity issues were, and still are, caused by the corrupt American companies that have managed the electricity distribution stations from 2003 until today. Therefore, we demand the current Iraqi government expel these suspicious companies and replace them with reputable and reliable ones, as a first step to begin fighting foreign corruption in Iraq."
