The spokesperson for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Hossein Mohebi, confirmed that Iranian military operations are currently concentrated on destroying the offensive infrastructure of the United States in the region.
"The enemy should not believe that they can maintain the current equation of combat and turn this into a war of attrition," the IRGC spokesperson warned.
In a related development, the spokesperson for the Iranian Army, Brigadier General Mohammad Akrami Nya, announced that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until its management mechanism is subjected to Iranian will.
Brigadier General Nya explained that reopening the strategic waterway is strictly conditional upon:
-
The United States’ commitment to the terms of the memorandum of understanding (MoU).
-
The complete cessation of hostile acts.
-
The adoption of Iranian laws and regulations governing the passage.
These declarations coincide with overnight and pre-dawn US strikes targeting ports and areas across southern Iran between Wednesday and Thursday.
In response to the multi-day US military campaign, Iran continues to retaliate by targeting US military bases, facilities, and strategic sites throughout the region.
The re-closure of the Strait of Hormuz by Iranian forces follows the ongoing US military actions in the waterway and the maritime blockade reimposed by US President Donald Trump. The Criminal Trump recently stated that US attacks on Iran "will continue until I say it's enough," while acknowledging that Iran "still possesses the capability to resist."
