The Zionist enemy forces, at dawn today, Saturday, prevented the dawn call to prayer (Adhan) from being raised in the village of Housan, west of Beit-lehem, and forced worshipers to leave one of its mosques.
A security source told the "Palestinian Information Center" that enemy forces stormed the mosque, prevented the call to prayer and the performance of prayers, and forced the worshipers to leave it, before firing sound bombs and toxic tear gas canisters toward them.
The source added that the Zionist enemy forces closed all entrances and gates leading to the Al-Arqub villages, southwest of Beit-lehem, and assaulted a citizen from the town of Nahalin while he was crossing the main gate that separates the town from the rest of the governorate's areas.
It is worth noting that the enemy entity's authorities previously approved a draft law aimed at tightening restrictions on the call to prayer in mosques by imposing a prior permit system for operating loudspeakers and granting the occupation police broad powers for enforcement and punishment.
According to the "Jewish Power" party, led by war criminal Ben-Gvir, banning the call to prayer via loudspeakers is the fundamental rule, while granting a permit will occur only in exceptional cases after examining a set of criteria. These include the volume level, means of noise reduction, the mosque's location and proximity to residential areas, and the extent of its impact on the surrounding population.
