American attacks on civilian areas and infrastructure in Iran have caused the severance of a vital bridge linking two regions in the southern city of Bandar Abbas.

Iranian platforms published footage documenting the damage left by the American missile strikes on a number of bridges in the Bandar Khamir district of Hormozgan Province, southern Iran.

The footage documented the effects of the American aggression that targeted two bridges on the road connecting the city of Bandar Abbas and the city of Hajiabad in the south of the Islamic Republic of Iran at dawn today.

The clips show the damage sustained by the two bridges, while Iranian authorities had announced earlier today the start of rehabilitation and repair works on the damaged bridges and roads to ensure the continuity of transport movement between the port of Bandar Abbas and internal regions.

According to local authorities, the strikes targeted six bridges on the Bandar Abbas–Lar axis, including the Gheriveh bridge, a bridge near Latidan village, and two bridges on the Kahurestan–Lar road. This is in addition to a bridge under construction on the Bandar Khamir–Kashar–Bandar Abbas axis and the Maru village bridge, causing significant damage to one of the most important roads connecting Bandar Abbas to the Fars Province.

American forces renewed their attacks at dawn today, Saturday, on the areas of Ahvaz, Lar, Yazd, Bandar Abbas, Qeshm, and Darab. Meanwhile, the Hormozgan Governorate in southern Iran urged residents to refrain "from non-essential travel in the region due to the possibility of renewed attacks."

A missile also struck the maritime traffic control center tower on Larak Island in southern Iran as a result of the American assaults.
