The spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esmaeil Baghaei, confirmed that the United States has committed war crimes by targeting civilian infrastructure and killing civilians in Hormozgan Province. At the same time, he pointed out that the recent attacks have strengthened the unity of the Iranian people and their determination to respond to the criminal military aggression.
At dawn today, Saturday, Baghaei published photos on the "X" platform of the martyrs of the recent American attacks on Hormozgan Province, noting that Washington "wants to showcase what it calls its power by attacking civilian infrastructure and killing innocent people."
Baghaei stated that "the terrorist US military has committed new war crimes," adding that the attacks resulted in the martyrdom of 8 people—including 4 women and 4 men, among whom were two brothers with special needs—following the targeting of several bridges and residential neighborhoods in Hormozgan Province.
It is worth noting that 8 residents of Hormozgan were martyred and 19 others were also injured in the American attack on Thursday evening and Friday dawn.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson emphasized that the Iranian people are "more united and determined than ever before," adding that Iranians are resolved to "make the savage enemies decisively regret the criminal military aggression against our beloved homeland."
This comes at a time when Iran is witnessing continuous American aggression that has targeted areas in the south of the country over the past few days, prompting Tehran to respond via military attacks targeting US military bases and facilities in the region.
