The Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, Kazem Gharibabadi, confirmed that Iran is focusing in the current phase on the "absolute and decisive defense of the country," noting that the United States violated its obligations by executing hostile acts during the negotiation period.

Gharibabadi said in a press statement that Washington proceeded to carry out aggressive acts while negotiations were ongoing, considering these actions a blatant violation of its commitments under the memorandum of understanding.

He added that what Iran faces at the present time is defending the country in a decisive manner, emphasizing that the United States "has received its response so far," and asserting that the aggressive measures "will not achieve any result."
