The Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Sayyid Mojtaba Khamenei, emphasized that the violation of the memorandum of understanding has proven once again that the signature of the President of the United States holds no value or credibility, asserting that the Iranian people possess unforgettable lessons for the American enemy.

In his message regarding "the great epic of the funeral of Iran’s martyr" (the Leader and Imam, the Martyr Sayyid Ali Khamenei) and clarifying important matters for the country, Sayyid Khamenei added that coinciding with the epic funeral of Iran's martyr, the Greatest Satan's repeated breach of its obligations toward the memorandum of understanding signed between the presidents of Iran and the United States has once again proven to everyone the reality that the U.S. President's signature is worthless and unreliable, and that arrogance, seeking hegemony, and brutality are inseparable parts of the American approach and doctrine.

He pointed out that "the Greatest Satan has today once again revealed its true face without a mask, making this dark experience of crimes and breach of covenants another solid proof of America's falsehood, lack of logic, unworthiness of trust, and malice."

Sayyid Khamenei said, "While the American enemy seeks to ignite wars, bear heavier costs, and suffer more disgrace, let it know that the dear Iranian people and the Resistance Front possess unforgettable lessons for it," adding that "the heroism of the Mujahideen of Islam and the gallantry of the brave sons of the southern region in these days have demonstrated examples of those lessons."

In another part of his statement, the Leader of the Revolution extended his gratitude to the Iranian people, saying: "O great and miracle-working Iranian people, peace be upon you, and greetings and thanks to you, as you have proven with your unique and historic epic, in the unprecedented uprising to bid farewell to Iran’s martyr, a new level of the manifestations of revival and the firm will of the Islamic-Iranian identity, through gratitude, loyalty, insight, and the expression of exceptional love for the leader of the Islamic nation and the martyred leader of the revolution."

He added that the warmth of grieving hearts, tearful eyes, and the resolute determinations of crowds reaching tens of millions and extending over tens of kilometers in Tehran, Qom, Mashhad, and other cities and villages moved the friends of the Iranian people and the free people of the world to admiration, while casting the arrogant enemies of the Iranian people into a state of astonishment, confusion, anger, and terror.

Sayyid Khamenei also expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to every individual among the Iranian people, whom he described as "the mourners of the martyred father of the nation," noting that despite the difficulties and certain restrictions and hardships, they crafted a historic epic in the great event of bidding farewell to "Iran’s martyr."

He extended his thanks to the Grand Maraji' (religious authorities), scholars, thinkers, elites, and activists in the cultural, social, and political fields, as well as civil and military institutions for their efforts and actions, in addition to the presence of senior officials, representatives of the lofty Resistance Front, and glorious Islamic movements.

He said, "I hope that all those who participated, supported, or showed solidarity, in any form, in this historic epic, receive the special care and prayers of our Master , may Allah Almighty hasten his honorable reappearance."

Regarding criticisms directed at the performance of some officials, Sayyid Khamenei stated that there are those who direct, with complete sincerity and out of concern and goodwill, criticisms toward the performance of some officials, considering that this attention and concern for the system is—just like its authors—a valuable asset and is in itself commendable.

He added that these dear individuals, some of whom are vanguards of insight and awareness, should pay attention so that this approach does not lead to the injustice of an innocent person, as that in itself would be a cause for deprivation of divine blessings and care, and that it also does not cause a rift in unity and social cohesion, emphasizing that criticisms, while observing these two matters, will be a motive for the flourishing and development of affairs.

The Leader of the Revolution stressed that the enemy must not perceive any sign of weakness from us, including this type of weakness, emphasizing that "if we fully and precisely adhere to these considerations, it will have no path before it but retreat and defeat."

The following is the text of the statement issued by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Khamenei, regarding the great epic of the funeral of Iran’s dear martyr and the Imam of the oppressed, and clarifying important issues in the country:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,

O Great and Wonder-Working Iranian People!

Peace, greetings, and thanks to you, as you have proven, with your unique and historic epic in the unprecedented uprising to bid farewell to Iran’s martyred master, a new level of the manifestations of revival and the firm will of the Islamic-Iranian identity, in gratitude, loyalty, insight, and the expression of supreme love for the leader of the Islamic nation and the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution. The warmth of the grieving hearts, the tearful eyes, and the resolute determinations of the crowds that reached tens of millions and extended over tens of kilometers in Tehran, Qom, Mashhad, and other cities and villages, have won the admiration of the friends of the Iranian people and the free people of the world, and have cast the arrogant enemies of the Iranian people into confusion, astonishment, anger, and dread.

Coinciding with this epic, the repeated breach of covenants by the Great Satan regarding the memorandum of understanding signed between the presidents of Iran and America has once again proven this reality to everyone: how worthless the U.S. President's signature is and its lack of credibility, and that arrogance, exclusivity, and brutality are inseparable parts of the American approach and path. Today, the Great Satan has once again revealed its true face without a mask, making this dark experience of criminality and breach of covenants another damning document of America's falsehood, its deviation from logic, the impossibility of trusting it, and its malice. Now, as the American enemy seeks to ignite the fuse of war, bear exorbitant costs, and suffer more disgrace, let it know that the dear Iranian people and the Resistance Front possess unforgettable lessons, and the courage of the Mujahideen of Islam and the fervor of the brave sons of the southern region in these days have demonstrated examples of them.

I must say to you, O loyal and lofty Iranian people, that one of the most fundamental matters at this stage is the insistence on unity of word and sacred unity, across all levels of the people and officials and in various fields, in order to achieve the sublime aspirations of the Islamic Revolution and ensure the glory and independence of dear Iran, especially in confronting the criminal and deceitful American enemy. As has been repeatedly emphasized and warned against previously, safeguarding unity and avoiding division, dispute, political conflict, and the magnification of social differences is a duty upon everyone. Naturally, the role of officials and the sincere cadres devoted to the love of the Revolution, the Imam, and the martyred Leader, in strengthening the country's cohesion and unity, is the most important and sensitive.

On this basis, the dear people, by continuing their trust in the sincere officials in the three branches of government, whose efforts are manifested for the welfare and happiness of the people, will remain vigilant and active in the field to ensure the preservation of the interests of Islamic Iran. Certain individuals may have criticisms of the performance of some officials, with the utmost sincerity and out of fervor and concern. In my view, while this attention and concern for the system is—just like its authors—a valuable asset and a desirable matter in itself, these dear ones, some of whom are among the vanguard of the people of insight, must be careful: First, that this approach does not lead to the occurrence of an injustice against an innocent person, as that becomes a source of deprivation of divine blessings and care. Second, that it does not cause a rift in unity and social cohesion. With these aspects observed, criticisms will be an incentive for the flourishing and elevation of matters. The enemy must not receive any indicator of weakness from us, including this weakness; and whenever we adhere to this consideration fully and precisely, it will have no path before it but the path of defeat.

Once again, I extend my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to every individual among the dear people, who are themselves the mourners of the martyred father of the nation, and who turned this great event of bidding farewell to Iran’s martyred master into a historic epic despite the difficulties and certain restrictions and hardships. I also extend my thanks to the Grand Maraji' of emulation, scholars, thinkers, elites, and activists in the cultural, social, and political fields, and I appreciate likewise the actions and efforts undertaken by civil and military institutions, as well as the presence of the officials and representatives of the lofty Resistance Front, and the representatives of the glorious Islamic movements.
