Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed that the security agreement between Iran and Iraq has been implemented to an acceptable degree so far, noting that Tehran is seriously following up on its implementation.
In an interview with Iranian state television, Araghchi stated that Iran faces no issue regarding mediation with the United States, explaining that there are enough countries performing this role.
He added that the real problem lies in the nature of the American approach, describing it as "illogical, expansionist, and authoritarian," and emphasizing that this approach has been met with "capable" stances from the Iranian side.
Araghchi stressed that there will be no possibility of Iran taking any step unless the United States realizes that "there is no way forward except respecting the Iranian people and their interests."
This comes at a time when the United States renewed its aggression against Iran days ago. The attacks were mostly concentrated on the southern coast, targeting ports, coastal observation towers, and numerous vital harbors and civilian infrastructure.
In response to this aggression, the Iranian Armed Forces targeted U.S. bases and interests spread across the region—extending from the Gulf to Jordan and Syria—in addition to targeting infrastructure linked to the U.S. military effort.
