Zionist enemy forces released a batch of Gaza Strip detainees on Monday evening who were arrested after October 7, 2023, releasing them via the Karam abu salem crossing.

The Asra Media Office reported that Zionist enemy forces released 60 detainees, including 20 workers who were arrested inside the territories occupied in 1948, and 40 detainees who had been held in the Negeb Desert Prison.

The release comes as Zionist enemy forces continue to hold thousands of Palestinians in their prisons. The latest data from prisoners' rights institutions indicates that there are over 10,800 prisoners and detainees, including hundreds of women and children, in addition to thousands of detainees from the Gaza Strip, many of whose identities have been subjected to enforced disappearance since the start of the aggression.

Prisoners' organizations affirm that Gaza detainees have been subjected to unprecedented violations since the outbreak of the war, including torture, starvation, medical neglect, isolation, and denial of visits, alongside many being subjected to enforced disappearance for long months.

Over recent months, Zionist enemy forces have released limited batches of Gaza detainees, with most recounting testimonies of being subjected to torture and mistreatment, while human rights organizations continue to warn of escalating violations against Palestinian prisoners and detainees inside Zionist enemy prisons.
