Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharib Abadi stated that the United States presented two "extreme" demands during negotiations in Islamabad, confirming that Tehran firmly rejected both proposals and notified the American side that these terms were unacceptable.

In press statements, Gharibabadi explained that the U.S. delegation informed Iranian officials that refusing these two demands would cause the negotiations to fail and lead to a return to escalation. "We rejected the demands and told them: 'Go back,'" he said.

Gharibabadi further added that during negotiations hosted by the Sultanate of Oman, the opposing side insisted on making the "southern route through the Strait of Hormuz active," an initiative that Iran also turned down.

The Iranian official emphasized that Tehran informed the other party it "will not accept these plans regardless of the results," underscoring his country's firm adherence to its position throughout the negotiation process.
