Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) marked the second anniversary of the martyrdom of Hamas Political Bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh in a statement issued on Sunday, affirming that the plot to disarm the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas is suffering a strategic defeat.
The IRGC asserted that avenging the blood of the martyred Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Ali Khamenei, and martyred commander Ismail Haniyeh is inevitable, warning that Iran's response to these crimes will be harsh and decisive.
The statement declared that the plot to disarm Hamas will achieve nothing, stressing that it has already failed. It assured the world that the dignity of the anti-Zionist Resistance cannot be undermined, and that Palestine's ultimate victory over the occupiers is closer than the enemy imagines.
The IRGC added that Haniyeh's assassination in Tehran, carried out while he was attending the inauguration of the Iranian president as an official guest, constituted a grave crime and a flagrant violation of the principles of international law, as well as of Iran's national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
