The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society announced on Tuesday that Zionist enemy forces arrested 630 Palestinians from the occupied West Bank, including the city of Al-Quds, during the past month of July, as part of ongoing arrest campaigns targeting various segments of Palestinian society.

In a press statement, the Society stated that last month's arrest campaigns affected children, women, and former prisoners, noting that the total number of arrest cases in the occupied West Bank, including Al-Quds, since the start of the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, has risen to more than 25,000 cases.

It explained that the arrest campaigns were accompanied by escalating violations, consisting of field interrogations, violent night raids on homes, and widespread destruction of property, in addition to assaults on detainees and their families involving beatings, threats, and humiliation, holding family members as hostages, theft of money and belongings, as well as carrying out field executions.

The statement added that escalating settler attacks also contributed to expanding the scope of arrests, particularly in villages and towns targeted by settlement activity, where enemy forces arrested dozens of Palestinians during attacks carried out by settlers under the protection of the Zionist enemy "army."

According to the Prisoners' Society, the number of Palestinian detainees in enemy jails reached more than 9,400 as of the beginning of this current month of August, including approximately 370 children and 92 female prisoners, in addition to 3,198 administrative detainees and 1,358 detainees from the Gaza Strip classified by Zionist enemy authorities as "unlawful combatants."

The Society pointed out that the Zionist enemy prison administration continues to escalate its violations against prisoners through policies of torture, starvation, denial of medical treatment, and solitary confinement, warning of deteriorating health conditions inside the prisons due to the spread of diseases and epidemics amid the deprivation of prisoners' most basic rights, which threatens their lives daily.

It emphasized that ongoing Zionist violations inside prisons have led to the martyrdom of dozens of prisoners, as documented by both Palestinian and Zionist human rights organizations.
