The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) has unveiled a substantial collection of wreckage from US and Israeli aircraft, including debris from a US F-15 fighter jet that the IRGC Aerospace Force says it shot down during the US aggression against Iran.
A teaser released by IRIB showed several parts of the F-15, including the pilot’s ejection seat, a portion of the aircraft’s canopy and part of its tail.
The exhibition also features wreckage from other US and Israeli aircraft, alongside debris from drones and missiles that were downed during the war.
F-15 wreckage reportedly shown publicly for first time
The F-15 debris is reportedly being exhibited publicly for the first time. IRGC Spokesperson General Hossein Mohebbi previously told Tasnim that after the 12-day war, the IRGC Aerospace Force was assigned to develop an indigenous air defense capability.
He said the project was completed rapidly, leading to the development of a new domestically produced air defense system that was later deployed during the imposed war.
Mohebbi also said the system successfully intercepted an F-35 fighter during the aggression.
