Gaza’s Government Media Office (GMO) described Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu’s latest remarks as an “explicit departure from the negotiation track,” accusing his regime of using talks as political cover to buy time and prolong its genocidal war.

In a statement on Monday, GMO said that Netanyahu’s rejection of the 15‑point roadmap plan, combined with his refusal to pull troops from Gaza and his insistence on unworkable demands, constitutes a “direct blow to mediators’ efforts and the ceasefire’s second phase.”

“The Palestinian side has shown great flexibility and responsibility to stop the aggression and alleviate its people’s humanitarian suffering, while Israel continues to obstruct the truce and drag negotiations back to square one,” GMO added.

GMO held the Israeli government fully responsible for the consequences of its intransigence, calling on mediators, the international community, and the UN to pressure Israel to end the war, withdraw troops, open crossings, and allow reconstruction efforts to begin.

Netanyahu on Sunday rejected US President Donald Trump’s peace plan for Gaza, saying Israeli troops would not withdraw from the war-ravaged territory until Hamas was fully disarmed.
