Freed prisoner Ahmed Abdul-Karim Al-Siqali returned a few days ago to the city of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, following his release by the Zionist enemy authorities.

Al-Siqali was already aware of the martyrdom of his six children—including an infant and a pair of twins—in a massacre that claimed the lives of nearly 120 Palestinians, while his wife and daughter survived with injuries.

Al-Siqali stated that the moment of his return to Khan Younis was mixed with joy and pain: the joy of release and returning to Gaza, alongside the pain of missing his children, none of whom were there to welcome him. He emphasized that "the sheer scale of destruction and ruin in the Strip turns one's hair white."

Al-Siqali had been working inside the occupied Palestinian territories. Following the events of October 7, 2023, he moved to the city of Qalqilya in the occupied West Bank before being arrested and detained by the Zionist enemy forces, where he was subjected to abuse until his release and return to the Gaza Strip.
