Governor of Socotra Hashim Al-Soqotri has called upon the people of the Socotra governorate and occupied governorates to sense their national responsibility during this sensitive stage in Yemen's history, urging them not to be drawn into the conspiratorial calls of the occupation.

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Governor Al-Soqotri pointed out that current events and the conspiracies facing the nation during this sensitive and dangerous phase necessitate unifying the ranks of the Yemeni people against the Saudi enemy, which has killed tens of thousands of Yemenis, destroyed their capabilities, and imposed a siege on them for over 11 years.

He stated: "Today, the Saudi enemy moves its instruments and mercenaries and intervenes directly to make Yemenis fight among themselves, we call on the people of Socotra and the occupied governorates not to be drawn behind the calls of the occupation and its mercenaries, nor to throw themselves into death traps that serve only the occupation and its conspiratorial plans."

The Governor of Socotra commended the awareness displayed by the people of the governorate and occupied governorates over past years against the occupation—despite suffering, declining service levels, deteriorating living conditions, and the occupation's attempts to subjugate the people of Socotra to its conspiratorial schemes. He affirmed that the free people of the occupied governorates, thanks to Allah and their awareness and national principles, have thwarted the occupation's plans, which were and remain focused on effacing their cultural identity.

He further noted: "The current situation—amidst the position of the revolutionary leadership in Sana'a, represented by Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badruddin al-Houthi, the political leadership, and the proactive operations carried out by the armed forces against the Saudi enemy and its instruments, who imagine they can occupy all of Yemen—places the people of Socotra Governorate and the occupied governorates before the responsibility of recognizing the gravity of the situation and standing alongside the de facto authority of the Republic of Yemen in Sana'a, until every inch of Yemeni land is liberated and the fabric of a unified Yemeni society, which aggression and occupation sought to tear apart, is restored."

Governor Al-Soqotri directed an invitation to all Yemeni citizens in general, and those in the occupied governorates in particular, to return to the ranks of the unified homeland and its capital, Sana'a. He emphasized that the homeland is broad enough for all its people, and that the tearing apart of Yemen over past years—especially throughout more than 11 years of aggression, blockade, and occupation—must end.

He concluded his statement by saying: "The experience of past years has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that Yemen's problems will only be resolved by Yemenis themselves, free from any external guardianship or intervention. Peace, stability, and development will only be achieved through the brotherhood of all Yemenis and the preservation of their unity."
