Yemen's Shura Council has condemned in the strongest terms the repeated American offenses against the Holy Quran, describing them as "provocative acts" that offend the sentiments of over two billion Muslims worldwide and constitute a "flagrant assault on the nation's faith."

In an official statement, the council affirmed that the continuation of these violations "under the protection and umbrella of the American system exposes the falsehood of slogans and classifications that America and some Western countries boast about regarding 'freedom of expression.'"

The council emphasized that what is happening is "systematic hate speech and explicit fueling of extremism and religious conflicts," holding the American administration "directly morally and legally responsible for its negligence and patronage of these heinous crimes," which constitute "official complicity threatening international peace and security."

Call for Diplomatic Break and International Legislation

The Shura Council called upon Arab and Islamic countries, parliaments, shura councils, and all international and human rights bodies to "cut diplomatic relations with the United States," and to seriously demand the prosecution of the "Zionist criminal and others who offend Islamic sanctities."

It stressed the necessity of "adopting firm positions and enacting binding international legislation that prevents the violation of holy scriptures and criminalizes perpetrators of such acts."

Call for Economic Boycott

The statement urged the peoples of Arab and Islamic nations to "activate the weapon of comprehensive economic boycott of American goods and products, as well as goods from countries that permit offenses against God's Book—as a faith-based duty and an effective deterrent to protect Islamic sanctities."

The Shura Council reaffirmed that "the Holy Quran will remain exalted and preserved by God's protection and care, and these desperate attempts will only increase the nation's adherence to their Lord's Book and pride in their faith-based identity."

The Shura Council's statement follows recent incidents of Quran desecration in the United States, which have sparked widespread condemnation across the Islamic world. The council's call for cutting diplomatic ties with the US represents a significant escalation in rhetoric.
