The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) expressed its appreciation on Thursday for statements made by Mohsen Rezaee, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, regarding the necessity of ending the war in the entire region, including Lebanon and Gaza.

Basem Naim, Head of Hamas's Bureau of Arab and Islamic Relations, stated that stopping these wars is a supreme interest for the region, its peoples, and its future.

Naim added that the continuation of these wars serves only the plans of the Zionist enemy, which are based on dismantling the region, destabilizing it, and depleting its resources.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian appointed Mohsen Rezaee as Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council last Sunday, succeeding Mohammad Baqer Zolqadr, according to the head of media affairs at the Iranian presidency.

In his first public statement since his appointment to the position on Sunday, Mohsen Rezaee stated that the Strait of Hormuz "will not be opened unless America changes its behavior and accepts Iran's conditions."

The former commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that the United States must end the war and unfreeze Iran's frozen assets.

Rezaee described the United States as a "factor of instability," adding that it has "endangered the entire region by imposing an illegal war on Iran,".
