Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi addressed U.S. officials in a post written in English, warning them that "misleading intelligence is worse than fake news."

Araghchi stated that "the United States has long miscalculated due to intelligence deficiencies, a prime example being the war on Iran," pointing out that Washington is making its biggest mistake in the Strait of Hormuz.

The American newspaper "The Washington Post", had revealed that the "Israeli government" informed the CIA of a threat to assassinate U.S. President Donald Trump in Turkey, "but analysts did not find the information convincing," adding that intelligence was skeptical of Israeli information regarding the Iranian threat.

The newspaper quoted a U.S. official confirming that reports of threats to Trump's life originated from "Israel", not the United States, describing them as having "low credibility."

U.S. intelligence officials explained to the newspaper that "the Israeli warning was aimed at influencing U.S. policy in the region," expressing skepticism that the purpose of the Israeli warning was to protect Trump.

Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, Iran emphasizes its management and control of this waterway, confirming that its reopening is contingent upon the United States fulfilling its conditions.
