The Islamic Resistance Movement – Hamas stated that the airstrike carried out by the terrorist enemy on the central governorate of the Gaza Strip, densely populated with residents and displaced people, under the pretext of children playing with a kite, constitutes a further escalation in the perpetration of brutal crimes against our people and a disregard for the system of international humanitarian laws and conventions.

In a statement, it added that the statements issued by the office of war criminal Netanyahu, and his threat to target areas in the Gaza Strip and displace their residents, while using children’s toys as a pretext for doing so, confirm the premeditated intention to continue the aggression and proceed with plans for displacement and genocide under flimsy pretexts.

It called on the US administration and the mediating countries to assume their responsibilities, condemn the Israeli enemy’s escalation, confront its brutal conduct, and compel it to adhere to the roadmap leading to a genuine ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, in a manner that ensures the protection of civilians and alleviates the humanitarian suffering of the Palestinian people.
